Hello!

For various reasons, some Iowans do not support the state requiring the wearing of masks as a means of “combating” COVID-19.

There is nothing stopping individuals who believe wearing a mask provides proper safety and security for them as individuals. If people believe wearing a mask is in their best interest, then they are free to do so.

However, there are also many who do not believe wearing a mask is in their best interest — for a variety of reasons.

We appreciate Gov. Kim Reynolds allowing adults to make adult decisions. Iowans know what is best for Iowans. Gov. Reynolds has shown she trusts Iowans when it comes to Iowans making decisions that impact themselves.

Thank you for allowing liberty and freedom when it comes to the mask issue.
